What did you think of it? Never Tried It
Vale IPA pours a copper, orange color with a wispy, white head that disappears quickly. The aroma very much matches the flavor which features a caramel malt base followed by an orange-peel tanginess and coinciding bitterness. The aftertaste has a hint of tropical sweetness with flavors of tangerine and peach. This is a medium-bodied beer that does well balancing its bitterness and sweetness. When it’s called an East Coast IPA from Australia, it begs the question of which coast they are referring to. Our best guess is that this is in the style of American East Coast IPAs before the style began to be overrun with the Northeast hazy craze. In other words, an old-school, malt-forward IPA with an English flavor profile. We found this beer imported into Thailand, where an IPA is a rare and welcomed sight.
