Chimay Dorée (Gold)
Rating:
What did you think of it? Never Tried It
Pours a cloudy, golden amber color with a solid finger of off-white, soapy head. With a proper Chimay glass, the aroma brings Belgian yeast and spice, along with some light fruit. This beer is only 4.8%, but it has a nice body with a full flavor profile. Most noticeable is the spice, where we detect coriander, clove, and orange blossom. The malts are soft and bready, with floral and herbal hop flavors. Finish is long, with some fruit and spice. Easy drinking for a Belgian Trappist beer, and pretty enjoyable overall.
