What did you think of it? Never Tried ItSkiesta pours a pale golden color with two fingers of white head that sticks around for a few minutes before settling into a thin layer on the top of the beer. Large carbonation bubbles flow sparse but consistently from the bottom to the top. The aroma is reserved with a slight grassy quality. This beer packs a ton of diverse malt flavors featuring dry wheat, barley, grass, and corn. The hops are carefully balanced in so as not to be immediately noticeable. But they clearly provide plenty of bitterness and black pepper spice to balance out such a strong malt profile. The hops taste very European, the malts, very Chico. There is the faintest hint of tropical sweetness in the aftertaste to lighten things up a bit, but overall this is a very dry and crisp lager. This is a great daytime beer, whether it be in your back yard or on the slopes. At 5.2% it won't cause many ski accidents and the flavor profile is diverse enough to keep things interesting throughout the day.
