What did you think of it? Never Tried ItWithout a doubt, Pataskala is a very flavorful beer. The nose is hoppy, a mix of piney and citrusy. The color is fantastic, coming off as a reddish brown with brilliant red highlights. The flavor is bright and highly enjoyable with a notable, almost nutty malt backbone that is quickly subdued by the overflow of hops that mostly follow the aroma. While you can easily enjoy more than one of these, over the course of a few rounds with this one, you really start to notice the dry hop character underneath the Red X malts. Pataskala was first brewed in September 2015 to support music and arts education programs in Pataskala, Ohio, where Stone co-founder Greg Koch grew up. Our vote: make this a year-round offering!

This is a very flavorful beer. The nose is hoppy, piney and citrusy; you could enjoy the hop bouquet all day. The color is fantastic coming off a reddish brown with brilliant red highlights. The flavor is bright and highly enjoyable with a notable, almost nutty malt backbone that is quickly subdued by the overflow of hops that mostly follow the aroma. While you can easily enjoy more than one of these, over the course of a few rounds with this one, you notice that the hops feel and taste like dry, pellet hops rather than fresh or whole cone. All in all a great beer and if you read the backstory for this on the Stone Website you will see that it was brewed for a great cause. Make this one a year-round offering!Leave a Comment:
