What did you think of it? Never Tried It
Let’s Bee Homies is a collaboration between Stone and Deschutes, bringing together two of the original craft breweries from California and Oregon. The appearance is golden amber, hazy but not murky, with one large finger of white, frothy head. Very inviting aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, and honey. On the taste, we get similar flavors of papaya, melon, and tangerine. But most noticeable is the honey flavor, which contributes a natural sweetness, especially in the finish. By design, half is Oregon blackberry honey and half is California orange blossom honey. Mouthfeel is juicy with light carbonation and low bitterness. Overall, this is a solid hazy IPA with traditional IPA flavors complemented by the honey addition. We’ve recently had a few beers that are brewed with honey, and it’s an enjoyable concept that we hope sticks around.
