Abstract Nightmares Vol. 1
Rating:
What did you think of it? Never Tried It
This Imperial Milkshake Sour pours a non-transparent, purplish red color with two fingers of white, bubbly head. The head dissipates but still leaves a thin layer of bubbles. Aroma is slightly tart and very fruit focused with lots of dark berry notes. Not surprisingly, this is brewed with black currants, blackberries, and boysenberries. On the taste, there’s a medium tartness up front that is a tad sour, but definitely manageable. We get the same dark berry flavors from the aroma, but they are balanced by a just barely noticeable amount of vanilla and lactose. Mouthfeel is slick and refreshing. This is our first from Embolden Beer Company and it’s a pretty good one.
